When your uncles are Chuck and Bobby McKinley, you can’t choose to play golf..

Gorsuch grew up in Bridgeton and went into the family business. By 15 he had the men's titles in the Muny and the St. Louis District. He reached number one in the 16s, won the Missouri state high school singles title, and took the Boys 18 National Indoor Championship in 1972. He was named to the Junior Davis Cup team. 

At the University of Missouri he won the Big Eight singles and doubles titles and earned All-American honors. 

He turned pro in 1975. He competed against elite doubles teams including Brian Gottfried and Raul Ramirez and climbed to a ranking of fifth in the world in doubles. He won 18 titles in singles and doubles combined. 

After retiring from the tour he coached baseball.
